The Monique Dress
[SDG-109]
$10.00

The Monique Dress is a retro design with a fresh modern twist. Featuring a flattering neckline, raised waistline, and a full A-line skirt, this dress will make you feel so pretty! Options for a solid or pieced bodice and various fabric accents means you have a lot of opportunities to mix and mingle all sorts of fabrics. Add a dash of trim or a coordinating bit of fabric here and there and make your own unique creation!

The pattern includes illustrated instructions for all variations and tissue pieces for sizes XXS - XXL.

Updated Construction Note:
A few sewers have noted that the side seams on the bodice do not match up in size when stitching the side seams. The lower edge of the armhole on the front bodice is approximately 3/8 inch longer than the back bodice. This is due to the joining of two slightly different angles at the armhole. The mismatch in these pieces falls within the seam allowance (outside of the finished seam) and can be trimmed off once the seam as been completed.

I had initially posted instructions for how to ease out this irregularity. However, after having made a few more dresses myself, I am reminded that the small mismatch in length is due to the geometry of the pieces, falls completely within the seam allowance, and is of no consequence to the construction process. Simply trim away any access fabric after completing the seam. The previously posted "fix" is unnecessary.

Sorry for the confusion about this! Armhole geometry can look a little odd in 2 dimensions.
